Default Sabotage (2014)

Did anyone see this? I missed it in theaters, but looked action-y. I loved End of Watch by the same director...

Quote:
Directed by David Ayer, the acclaimed director of End of Watch and screenwriter of Training Day, Sabotage centers on DEA agent Breacher Wharton (Schwarzenegger), who leads a daring raid on a heavily-armed drug cartel safe house. The raid seems to go off seamlessly, but when the agents involved start turning up dead, everyone is a suspect-even members of their own squad. An explosive tale of loyalty and betrayal that Mark DeCarlo of ABC-TV's Windy City LIVE calls "a tense, action-packed thrill ride," Chris Parente of FOX-TV hailed the film "a non-stop adrenaline rush!"

Schwarzenegger is joined by an impressive supporting cast including Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans), Olivia Williams (Hanna, "Dollhouse"), Terrence Howard (Iron Man, Red Tails), Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike, "How I Met Your Mother"), Josh Holloway ("Lost") and Mireille Enos (World War Z, "The Killing").

The Blu-ray™ Combo Pack includes a Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital HD with UltraViolet™.

Blu-ray™ unleashes the power of your HDTV and is the best way to watch movies at home, featuring 6X the picture resolution of DVD, exclusive extras and theater-quality surround sound.
DVD offers the flexibility and convenience of playing movies in more places, both at home and away.
DIGITAL HD with Ultraviolet™ lets fans watch movies anywhere on their favorite devices. Users can instantly stream or download movies to watch on iPad®, iPhone®, Android™, smart TVs, connected Blu-ray™ players, game consoles, and more.

SYNOPSIS

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in the pulse-pounding action film Sabotage, from the director of End of Watch and the writer of Training Day. When DEA task force leader Breacher Wharton (Schwarzenegger) storms a heavily armed cartel safe house, rogue members of his team use it as a cover to steal $10 million in cash. But just when they think their secret is safe, agents are killed off one-by-one, and everyone is a suspect, including the squad itself. Co-starring Sam Worthington, Olivia Williams, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Josh Holloway and Mireille Enos, Sabotage is an explosive tale of betrayal and trust that critics call "a tense, action-packed thrill ride!" (Mark DeCarlo, ABC-TV's Windy City LIVE)

I saw it. Not great, but not terrible either. Not even close to Schwarzenegger's best. I haven't seen End of Watch yet, but I have heard good things, so I might check it out.

I wouldn't recommend a blind buy, but seeing as you enjoyed the director's previous film, you might like this one.

I actually Saw it in the theater, Expecting another Kick ass action-fest. It was more of a thriller than an Action Movie. I enjoyed it but one thing.......it's not for the Faint of Heart. There's Gore and some disturbing Torture scenes, that the camera doesn't cut away. Good Movie though

It'll be a day 1 purchase for me. Arnold Schwarzenegger is my favorite person ever. Granted I may be biased but I really liked the movie a lot, as I saw it in theaters. I'd suggest it, if you like action/thrillers/Arnold.

Saw this sucker in theaters 3 times (so far). IMO Arnold's best movie since Eraser. Maybe even since since True Lies. If Arnold had made this during the 90's it would've been huge.

That's good to know, I'll be getting this for sure. I like most of all Arnold's movies.

I wanted to see this but only one theater here carried it and I never got around to seeing it in time. Looking forward to seeing it. It looked like a decent ensemble cast.

I liked this one quite a bit. I'm a Schwarzenegger fanboy admittedly and while it's not his best I found it pretty good. It is a bit darker of a role for him than what one would normally expect. I agree that the film did feel like more of a thriller than an action film but that's okay. Actually one thing I've liked about Schwarzenegger's comeback is I feel like he's getting a chance to shine a bit more as an actor rather than just being the action guy. I'll likely buy this one on day one.

Probably be a blind buy given we're denied a cinema release down here.

But we can get Ride Along.

Dude, you can post spoilers in the spoilers tag so that no one can see it unless they click it.

Also, I prefer the theatrical ending better

I saw it and it was very, very good!
One of Arnolds best action flicks.

Hopefully, there will be a "directors cut."
Adding this one to my Blu-ray collection, when the price drops to the $7.99 level.

Not sure how this is uncut unless it means they are just including the gore that was in the US theatrical version because the run time on this steel book uncut version is exactly the same running time in the U.S. theatrical version.
