Exclamation BD player remote issues

My particular machine which is a Sharp Aquos..doesn't have an angle button! I know some remotes don't have an open/close button, mine does.
I'm trying to figure out HOW I can toggle on the fly back and forth from the Star Trek Season's 1-3 boxed sets' ability to go back and forth @ will from the original older footage to the remastered & newer fx footage.
Apparantly, IF your remote HAS aa ANGLE button, this is simple and quick.
Is there a universal remote avail. on the market that would operate with my Sharp player and cause it to function using such a remote w/ an angle button? Or unless my model never had this option on it's remote, would my player even respond to a universal remote's command to do so?
Should I contact Sharp directly to see if they have a solution or alternate remote that could perform this function? I'd really like to be able to utilize this ability on these 3 new Trek titles. I can use my pop up menu button to go to a window function to switch from old to new footage, but not back and forth on the fly, it simply goes back to the start of the episode and plays entire show in either orig. or remastered footage.
