Any specs on this yet...like will it be a brand new restoration from the uncut negative like MondoMacabro in the US?

Ignoring the PQ, this'll probably be like most of the other Black House Films releases & be shite in the extras department.

These are the Mondo Macabro extras

Interview with director Jean Brismée
Interview with assistant director/second-unit director Robert Lombaerts
Interview with avant garde film-maker and Belgian cinema insider Roland Lethem
Audio commentary by author Troy Howarth
Original trailers and TV spots

The UK release will probably ONLY have a trailer for the film or a bunch of trailers for OTHER films Black House have released & the traler(s) will have NO subs.

Black House should think more of the fan of the films they intend to release. I now think twice about buying from them. I was excited to hear that they would be releasing the films of Jean Rollin. How disappointed I was. I got The Iron Rose and thought it had great cover art and a great transfer, but with the lack of special features, it wasn't worth the money. Redemption in the United States has a lot more to offer on these titles, which are region free (I think). Black House will probably do the same with The Devil's Nightmare, which is why I will be getting the U.S. version from Mondo Macabro. Black House really need to make more of an effort.

I watched this the other night for the very first time. It's a bit slow moving to begin with and has one of the longest lesbian 'sex' scenes ever filmed but when the film gets going it's pretty entertaining. Erika Blanc is wonderful. The PQ is absolutely fine, the sound however is very strange. A lot of the dialogue is overrun by the background effects, its difficult to sometimes hear what's been said.
