Default George Lucas is the Daily Show tonight

Anyone else going to watch? I doubt he'll say anything about blu-ray, but I am curious to see what they talk about.

EDIT: Wish I would of looked at the damn title before I posted. Oh well... I do it all the time, lmao.

Maybe George Lucas can edit the title with some “ILM CGI” I doubt you’ll notice the difference?

I guess I can watch this on Youtube sometime later in the week?

I've been wanting to ask this for awhile...

What's with his neck? Can he pack extra food in there like a hamster?

Didn't Lucas and Stephen Colbert have a lightsaber battle on The Colbert Report a few years back?

One of the extras on the Indy 4 blu-ray shows him on set wearing a Han Shot First t-shirt, which certainly got a chuckle from me

Made me laugh also but some people took great offense to it, they said it was laughing at them because they want Star Wars as it was and he refuse to give it to them

Just your typical crybaby fanboys. I loved that he was wearing that shirt.

Lucas was great on the Daily Show today. I may have to grab a copy of the book he was peddling.

And he was right on the money about the whole nostalgia factor influencing how fans saw the new films.

Cause I know plenty of kids and such that love the prequels. Hell, I prefer them to the OT.

I have been saying this for a decade but I am always being shout out down when I bring this up. We have to deal with it Beats, the original were masterpieces of cinema and are the greatest thing in the world. It's not the fact that many saw these movies as kid and have grown up and seem to have forgot they saw them with kids eyes

I know you loved him wearing that shirt. Now if he was wearing a Star Trek XI Tshirt sucks you would have been crying.

Not sure where you are trying to go with the kids eyes thing there P@t. The bottom line is that he should GIVE US A CHOICE or include both like Spielberg does. Not force one or the other down our throat! If his films were not finished in 1977/1980 and 1983 then he should have neve released them until they were ready.

Leave it to Beast to stir the pot.

Thats where budget and financer decisions come in. You think they're going to put in money and not get a product just because George said "they're not finished, give me more money."

Exactly. Especially in that period when he wasn't nearly as powerful as he is now.

There's a reason he chooses to mostly finance his own movies now that he's capable of doing so.

I agree with your Elvis that the best right options would be for him to provide both version. He does not want to do it however. At the end of the day Lucas is no different then the rest of us, very stubborn and opiniated and believe that his opinion is the right one

Actually that did happen.

When they had one scene left to film which had the Stormtroopers boarding the Reble ship they were just going to redress the set from some of the other sets from the movie. However George realized that a brand new set would be much better but they had no money left remaining to build one. So they contacted Alan Ladd Jr. and he agreed to pay for it thankfully.

So the movie was finished properly untill George decided to insert that slug in to REPEAT dear ol Greed's lines.

People aren't allowed to have an opinion that disagrees with your own?

This is the 'get over yourself' portion of Blu-Ray.com
