Default I look forward to when LCD HDTV/blu-ray player combos are released.

I currently have a Toshiba 15" LCD/DVD combo which I use for a bedroom TV, its clean and neat , just plug it in and play. Anyhow, being that my blu-rays far outnumber my sd dvds I sure look forward to LCD/blu-ray player combos ......well at least as far as I know there are not any yet.

One thing that is nice about this Toshiba is you can just stick a disc in and that turns it on, or just hit play on the remote and it turns on.

btw I highly recommend this one if anyone need a LCD/DVD player, $180 at Amazon. The onboard speakers are pretty decent too.
my Toshiba...

I have a 26" Toshiba LCD with built-in DVD player in my workout room. It's got a decent picture, but the speakers aren't great. I can hardly hear it when it is at max while I'm on the treadmill. Part of the reason I'm setting up a receiver and a couple of speakers in the room.

I agree that the built-in DVD player is very convenient, and it has worked flawlessly for me. The only drawback is that they tend to break or become problematic far sooner than the TV itself. It's been my experience that multi-combo units such as this are more problems than they're worth because if / when one piece breaks, you'll lose all of it while having it fixed (or you would have to live without the DVD player or hook in an extenal one, which kinda defeats the point).

As always though, YMMV.

There are combo players, but I think the smallest is 32".

Sure enough there are some out there already, thanks guys. Though I only want a 15" and would rather not spend more than $300 on a bedroom tv.

That's why those combo players are not worth it. The same applied to the DVD/VCR combo players as well.
