Default Does anybody like the TV show Roseanne?

I really like show. First few seasons were really funny but the later seasons were ok at best.

I watched the show most of my childhood. It was a good show overall, but the last season and finale was among the worst programming I've ever seen. It pretty much ruined the show for me.

One of the best shows growing up. It did go quickly downhill for the last couple seasons but those early seasons were gold.

I looked forward to the Halloween episodes the most.

Wow, I just started watching this again after I reactivated my Boy Meets World viewership. I was shocked at how much I'd forgotten Roseanne changed from the beginning to the final season. It didn't even look like the same woman anymore. But the earlier seasons where easily the best, cause the later stuff once they "won the lottery" was just way too weird and it never fit in on that show. It was about the regular blue collar people and than it was all changed and it seemed more like "White Trash with Money."

Have all 9 seasons on DVD for completion sake only. Around the fifth season, it got less interesting. I always enjoyed the Halloween episodes though. There is a Halloween episode only DVD that is out that is pretty good. It has 8 of halloween episodes on it.

I always liked Johnny Galecki's character on there of David.

Some of my Fave moments on the show:

Dan going apeshit on Fisher for beating Jackie.

Dan flipping out on David after he found out that Darlene and David were sleeping together.

Dan in the Big & Tall store, and the store salesman is like "that jacket makes you look very slim sir."

Dan: Oh I'm not here cause I'm big, I'm here cause I'm tall.

Salesman: Well....it makes you look...very short sir.

Dan: (looks at him) oh you're good.

lol

I liked the first few seasons, but like with most sitcoms, it declined as the kids got older.

That's another reason I love Treme, Goodman's character of Creighton is like Dan Connor 2.0

Didn't care for it. At the time I felt they were ripping off of Married with Children.

Growing up I loved it, I think I was conditioned to do so since it was my mom's favorite show. However, they ran out of ideas and taking a lower-income family and having them win the lottery kills the appeal of the dysfunctional/functional show.

That happened in the disastrous final season.

I know back when it originally aired, it was a show i loved and could not miss, like Married W/ Children. I can watch re-runs when they're on, no problem.

Roseanne had morals, discipline, and a blue collar working family..

Married with children was the "white trash" show of the group.. It was just the life of a loser family, made for a more adult crowd and adult humor.. Roseanne was a network family show

Exactly as much as I loved Married with Children the whole family was a bunch of degenerates. They didn't care about anybody but themselves. Atleast Roseanne and Dan tried to raise their kids right. It was a very different style of show completely, the only similarities between them was they where two white families in the late 80s on sitcoms.

I love Roseanne I think it had only one really bad season and that was season 9. 1-8 I loved a lot. I just bought the last 3 season on dvd (really cheap on amazon right now for UK buyers). I think I’m going to watch the series right through again.

I agree with what everyone is saying about Roseanne/Married With Children they are not alike at all.
