I've had this game for about 2 weeks now. I brought it for 1.) It was inexpensive and 2.) I wanted an on-line racing game. Well I got the game for $12.00

I think port forwarding is an issue, I'm not sure. I saw a post about it online a week ago when I bought it, prepared to use it when I too picked up Blur for $12 but then I was able to get online without a problem at all. I'll see if I can dig it up but I'm sure if you google it stuff will come up.

I've been playing Burnout Paradise since Feb. 2008 my only Plat. Split/Second(good game)but is p&ssing me off with the rubber banding and I think everyone has brought the cheater pack off the PSN. I just can't hang with them. I really wanted to try a 20 player race in Blur. I wonder if anyone is still playing Motor Storm? Hmmmmm

And a lot of people are comparing Split/Second and Blur, mostly because they came out within like a week. I think they both have their pros and cons. I've played through the career on both games and I enjoyed both. Blur as a whole seems more of a recycled concept, S/S is a bit more original. I actually did NOT buy the cheater packs for S/S because that's a waste of money IMO. I've unlocked all but one car by myself and just have about 15 events left to get 1st in. The elite races were challenging, but not impossible. The AI isn't that bad; once you see the AI in Modnation Racers the elite racers in S/S seem like tame Hello Kitty drivers. And btw, even if you do get online, since so many are having connect problems you won't get 20 online in a race. The most I had was 6 or 8 I think. |

Update. There must be a minimum Upload and download as far as I can tell. Played with the Wired and Wireless Internet settings on the PS3. It looks as through I'll need to stay Wired to play this. There was very little difference between the 2 speeds. But I played on-line w/wired connection not with wireless connection. And @ one point we had 20 player races for a few in a row and it was running good. This is a real fun game on-line. Just such mayhem.

I've been playing online all week, every day on wireless internet without any problems. Maybe it's a Comcast thing for you. But I do agree it's really fun. I've been playing in the 4-20 playlist all the time, all the other playlists don't have that many. It's probably the second best online racing system. Like Burnout Paradise, I don't even care if I don't win. I'm just out having fun.
