I have checked some upcoming Blu-Ray announcements on the Internet but I have not come across any news about a forthcoming "The Exorcist" release on Blu-Ray. Does anyone know when "The Exorcist" will be available on Blu-Ray?

I know it's inevitable that "The Exorcist" will someday be released on Blu-Ray. I will be elated when I see an announcement day in print.

As long as they include the original version then I'll be very happy with this (stupid CGI faces on the walls really detract from the experience for me)

The Exorcist in Blu-ray will be something very special. My favorite horror movie (and of a lot of people) of all time.

This is the one title that Warner needs to apply the Blade Runner treatment. Multiple disc set with all the various editions and extensive supplements. Thank God that this title will be released after Warner has stopped crippling their BD encodes with HD DVD specs. I can just imagine the lossless soundtrack...

To the OP, are you aware it has just had a super deluxe release on DVD with EVERY VERSION of every film in the series? I am really hoping this box set comes to Blu ray.

Really? Those faces freak me out more than anything. I know in the original the one face appears as father Karras is coming up the subway stairs and sees his mother, I think they only added the face in two other shots, its creepy! Didnt distract me , made me pause the movie just to look at it.

Agreed! I like the added faces plus the crab walk down the stairs! I wouldn't want to watch it any other way now!
