Help with 5 free Blu-rays offer... - Blu-ray Forum

First of all, I just want to let you know guys that I've been a frequent reader of this website since last quarter of last year. I did not join during that time because I don't have a blu-ray player.

Today I bought a PS3 at Target and used my friend's 10% discount card. The first thing I did after I got home was to check at Target's website to get the freebie form but unfortunately I can't find any link from their website.

My questions are:

1. Is it okay to use the from other retailers?
2. Where the UPC code? I saw some stickers from the box but I'm not sure if that is the UPC code.
3. Is it okay to send a photo copy of the receipt? I can't send the original copy since I might need it in the future.
4. How long will it take to get the free blu-ray movies?

WELCOME TO THE SITE!

1 - As long as it does not have their name on it.
2 - Its on the box. Its the UPC the cashier scanned to ring up your purchase.
3 - You need to check the requirements of the offer. It is listed on the form you fill out. You can get a gift receipt or a copy of your receipt from target. Or again, read the form as it will tell you if a photo copy is ok or if you need to send the original.
4 - 6-10 weeks

When you say freebie, do you mean the 5 free movies? If so, that is a deal from the BDA, Blu-ray Disc Association, so it doesn't matter from where you got the player. Do a google search for that form, and I think you can use a copy of the receipt.

The latest issues of PSM have the form on the back of the magazines as well.

Can you use a copy of the UPC? I don't want to cut up my PS3 box.

Yep, you have to cut out the UPC from the box. From doing dozens of rebates in the past, you have to follow EVERYTHING on the form in order to get your rebate/free stuff. Otherwise you get nada.
