Default Best Buy, Amazon GCs, Paypal money from Swagbucks

Not sure whether it has been discussed before, but there is a program called Swagbucks which gives you gift cards to a lot of retail stores & restaurants. More time you spent, more you earn. I normally earn about $50-$60 each month.

Here is my referral link, feel free to sign up using this link, please copy & paste instread of clicking

http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/diskspinner

Some of the GCs available are

Best Buy
Amazon
Walmart
Target
Barnes & Nobles
Gamestop
Paypal Money (be sure to register with same email account as paypal for getting this reward)

I normally try to complete a survey/day, which is about 60 points + NOSO, Daily poll, Search, TV (video clips) etc. averages me about 100 points/day. Then there is bonus points.

There are various ways to win points

1) search anything in the web like google (First 4-6 searches give you 7-12 points normally, sometimes much more...)
2) Take daily polls (only 1 point)
3) complete NOSO (click a few times to see offers) - 2 points
4) complete surveys - depends on the survey
5) See videos, ads - 1 -5 points
6) complete offers - depends
7) Shop through link - points equal to $ you spend, sometimes X2 - X5
8) Play games
9) Enter codes
10) Referrals
etc. etc.

One thing I can assure is it is for real...takes more time than Bestbuy facebook poll but there is no limit you can earn...

Thanks. For the search points I'm assuming I need to install their toolbar? I've done some stuff on there and already have 140 points, not bad I think.

Hmm. Looks legit. I already spend my time doing random non-sense on the interwebs, might as well get compensated for it!

No. Toolbar is not needed. There is a link/text box.

See, i use their toolbar search, and I only get swagbucks for one search a day. Sometimes it is a large amout (64 one time!), but usually it is 6-10 and only once per day.

I had been doing the video things, but wasn't getting points. Do you have to watch a certain number of videos to earn points?

Usually each video fills a bar at the top in 10% incriments, and at 99% you sometimes enter a captcha code or you just get the bucks.

I usually just open the videos in a second window and let them play until i get to 90%.

I did this a couple of years ago when amazon $5 gift cards were 45 swagbucks.

I used to get about $20 in gift cards a month.

Then they changed the point system by a factor of 10 where you need 450 swagbucks for a $5 card, and where you used to get 1 swagbuck as a minimum you would need 10 now.

I sometimes go back but I've been working towards the same $5 gift card for about 15 months.

I used to do lots of the special offers for more bucks but I would only get the promised payout 15% or 20% of the time. Also the special offers install so much crap on your pc, you should run it all in a vm.

I salute all who are able to get this to work well, it became more time intensive than it was worth to me though..

Cool. Thanks brownsfan. Meter's been stuck at 50% for the past few videos though...but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Interesting, thanks for the OP.

Could either of you estimate what type of time commitment it takes to average either the $10-$15/month (brownsfan1) or the $50-$60/month (diskspinner)?

diskspinner, you did indicate it takes more time than the BB FB polls, but how much time are we talking here?

Also, it was helpful that you included the point values on a number of common activities, but could you also post what some of the redemption rates are (like for a BB or AMZ GC) somewhere?

It looks like a lot of the little activities earn you 1-10 points. How many points does it take to get a $5 GC? Is it the 450 points that grrrarg mentioned?

amazon $5 GC is 450 points.
Almost everything other GCs are at this rate 500 points --> $5, 1000 points --> $10, 2500 points --> $25, 5000 points --> $50 & so on.

To get $10 a month, you basically need to score 1000 points, i.e. 35 points a day...you can get 15 points in about 2 minutes...the next 20 points may take about from 5 mins to 20 minutes (depends on what is available that day). Basically 2 mins/day may give you a $5 GC if you do it wisely.

If you are able to do a survey, it is usually 60 points (depends on the survey, points assigned to that etc.) in 15 mins.
I think I spend about 45 mins to cross the daily target, normally 60-100 (varies), that way I also get bonus points to be credited end of month (Daily & Monthly bonus)...and I do it while listening music or from my browsing time...

ok, then if you have referrals all the points you referrals gets by searching, you get them too.

So if you kindly join through my referral (copy/paste into browser), the points you earn by searching the net, I get them too...i.e. only if you join through this link or you send me you email & send an invitation (upto 1000 points/referral)

http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/diskspinner

There are really a lot of different things but because of this I spend only about 50% from my pocket, rest through GCs/paypal money.
