Night at the Museum 2 Digital Copy Issue - Blu-ray Forum

A friend of mine (That works at Walmart) showed me a paper that was sent to Walmart stores about the Night at the Museum 2 Bluray.. The digital copy is not working on the ones that do NOT look like this on the top sticker of the case

**NIGHT MUSEUM : BATTLE**

The ones that have anything otherwise are the recalled discs!

I've seen that message too. The BDs are supposed to be all replaced before Release day.

Are the stars (**) just something you're using to frame the sticker text, or are those star characters actually supposed to be on the sticker? I got my copy from Walmart at midnight last night, and below is exactly what my sticker says:

NIGHT MUSEUM: BATTLE

My copy from Target (which I price matched to Walmart's $19.96 THEN applied the $5 Target Blu-ray coupon has this on the sticker:

** NIGHT MUSEUM : BATTLE **

The two asterisks (stars) are on the sticker as shown above.

So, if a few of these "bad" copies leaked through, and someone were to end up with one, it's only the Digital Copy that doesn't work, right? The Blu-Ray and DVD versions are both fine, correct?

I'm just making sure, because mine is coming from Amazon, and I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back to them for replacement if I don't have to. I personally don't care about the digital copy, so as long as the other discs are fine, I'm not going to worry about it if I do somehow get one of the "bad" ones if this is the case.

So I picked up a copy this morning at walmart and tried the digital copy and it didn't work. I did a google search and found you all here. So my question is, what do I do now that I have a bad copy? Do I contact Fox or go back to Walmart and have them search for a working one? Thanks for any assistance.

Sigh, guess my Walmart didn't get the memo. Off to do an exchange (or return if there are none of the good copies. At least I didn't open mine yet so a return is possible).

Yeah, It's just supposed to be the digital copy that is not working...

My Walmart was now aware of the issue and had pulled the bad stock, but had not received any replacements as of yet. I got my money back.

The Giant Eagle supermarket next door amazingly had the fixed copies. I can't imagine they're too up on home video issues, so maybe this was fixed quite a ways back in the distribution chain for most stores and Walmart just made an error or something.

The sticker on my new copy now reads:

** NIGHT MUSEUM : BATTLE **

I just got NATMBOTS but my digital copy will not transfer to Itunes...has anyone else had this problem and if so did you return it.....

This disc doesn't work for me. Has anyone had any luck with Fox reissuing the download? I can't return it, since I don't have the receipt any more. Plus I bought it at Blockbuster for $20, but all the local blockbusters are closed.
