ps3 slim disc loading sounds

I have a slim & a fat ps3...i got a new slim 2501a is on the box so im guessing its the newer hardware...i gave my wifes brother my fat ps3 since he didnt have a gaming system.

I have madden and nba 2k when i put those in the slim i hear like the disc loading sounds..i never heard this or maybe paid attention with the fat slim..i didnt hear it too much when i played a blu ray....so i dunno if its those games...its normal..or its a problem with the ps3?

I still can exchange it for another one...dont want to really..but if it sounds like something wrong i will...for the most part the system is quiet and runs cool after playing for a hour....Just the disc sounds when i put it in..like its winding up or something..but everything plays fine. Thanks just curious if its a bad sign or normal.
