Howdy folks,

I just found this little piece of news and I was a little surprised I couldn't find this in any of OUR threads.

Final Fantasy XIV Beta Sign Ups have begun at the SquareEnix site and if anyone is interested, they can find them here.

I was so excited until I saw this was for PC. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll keep an eye out for the PS3 beta.

How come at the end of the application it asks which system you prefer to try the beta on then?

Definitely, if I had a gaming PC I'd be all over this. Twice the chance to get in, unfortunately I have a POS computer that I almost never use (PS3 is my PC

Probably part of the survey. Maybe they want to anticipate demand on each? Read the fine print though, it specifies it's the PC beta and that details on the PS3 beta will be released "at a later date".

I'm guessing its part of the selection process to help narrow down whom participates. If you select PS3, then you wouldn't participate in this Beta as its PC-only.

I forgot my Square Enix ID. Guess I could plug in my PS2 and get it from there, but Im not too sure I wanna go down that road again. FFXI had me like a crack addicting needing a hit. I would play that damn game 20 hours a day! Ok fine Ill sign up for pc later lol

I thought everyone would appreciate the news more when PS3 applications start.

It's not first-come first-served so no hurry really.

Well as someone who would more than likely play on both thanks for the link OP.

Hopefully having a higher end (bout 9 months out of date now but still easily handles anything I've thrown at it) gaming PC and being a professional software tester will give me a leg up
