Nice big room you got there and the subriser looks good! I have to ask, but do you have 3 subs up front? I can't tell what those are to the far left and right on the floor.

The far left and right are the front right and left speakers...I know they need lifted up to match the senter channel... My girlfriend works at Michaels craft store and she is bringing me some square stools today that I can paint black and set them on...

Interesting, what model are the speakers and sub? You have what looks like a very large room, so I'm curious to what you think of their performance?

Also, you should start a gallery by clicking on "gallery" under your avatar. It is pretty self explanatory after that. This way you can let other members provide more advice and rate your HT as well.

that is a great idea, it looks good. Watch out this habit is contagious and expensive.

Fosberg the model of the front speaks are Sony ss-u4033's they are and older speaker but they seem to deliver pretty good sound I just need to get them lifted off of the floor..The sub is a Sony w2500..nothing special but it sure rocks the house!!! The other sub that my ps3 controllers sit on is just a samsung htib one..I dont have it hooked up it just holds my controllers and fills the gap...

Yes I know it's addicting and expensive...I am just starting out and I have already began to feel it take hold!! But everyone has to have a hobby right???

Very nice. I know the older Sony speakers have better range and are not as harsh as the newer Sony's. I bet the sound from them is quite nice. Getting them up closer to ear level will provide much better imaging and widen your sound for you too.

So, if upgraditis has started to get a hold of you already, whats the next upgrade/addition?

like the gallery pics.... I would suggest that you get the speakers first and then a receiver... but that is just me....I think that your receiver will give you pretty good sound, it may not be the HD audio of blu-rays, but the core surrounds sounds on blu-ray are near HD and getting speakers that will be more detailed and clear will be overall the better experience.

However I would suggest that you change the towers and center together, or the Towers first. When your bored, and have free time, so to audio dealers and audition some high quality speakers, you will develop the sound that you like and prefer so you will know what you want to purchase in the future.

all that matters is what your ears hear.
