The iPod touch doesn't do any converting. It just plays music and video and can store data and photos.

indeed. you would need to convert the file prior to loading it to iTunes.

Default iPhone vs Blackberry Storm?

I have an iPod Touch and love the interface. Would like to switch my PalmTreo for an iPhone but need to stay on Verizon for work issues.

Does anyone have experience with the new Blackberry Storm - it appears to have many of the features I am attracted to on the iPhone.

Not sure about the storm, but I'd repost your question here.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/off-topic-...chit-chat.html

You'll probably get more feedback in that one.

A friend of mine has one... and the touch screen is not nearly as nice as the iphone. You have to actually depress the screen. And of course there is nothing to compare to the app store. You could find a used iPhone and jailbreak it and use Verizon.

Verizon uses CDMA. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM. All iPhones are GSM. No iPhones on Verizon.

Is your friend's Storm the latest generation, because I've read they made a lot of improvements over the first generation. I would love to get an Iphone but AT&T is horrible in Iowa so I have a Blackberry Curve right now, will probably get a Tour in June. I would prefer an Iphone but don't have that option anyway because my Blackberry is a company phone so I have an Ipod Touch. I mainly just use it for music and internet but the apps are nice and I occasionally watch movies on it when I'm flying.

This was about a year ago she was showing me hers. I'm fairly certain it was first gen. She had the storm and her husband had the iphone. She said his was much nicer.
