Ah, decisions, decisions. The Onkyo system is very good and would suit your present and future needs. AND - everything is matched and included all in the same box. The other systems are good, too, but require a bit more effort. I don't think you would go wrong with any of them. Have fun !!!

agreed, my brother has the 6200, i was seriously considering it until he bought it. it sound very good, it's easy to tweak, & the sub can pound out some pretty clean & low frequencies. he bought 2 pr. of sanus speaker stands from wally world since the 6200 only had 1 pr. perfect match. adds $80 to total cost, but cheaper than those from onkyo.

I'm trying to piece together a "budget" setup also. I started a thread and it includes several systems in your price range. Recent posts will show how my budget is starting to creep upwards kinda like gravity in reverse (no use fighting gravity ). Here's the link https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...34#post2789134

I think this looks like a pretty sweet setup for the money: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Denon+-+...&skuId=9342071
It is $50 less on both denon and boston acoustics websites. I am sure bb would price match their sites.
