Default HDMI and Coaxial Question.

Hey,

For the past week I've had a brand new home theater system (only missing back speakers which I'm getting very soon). This is my set up in my bedroom:

Denon 1910 7.1 Surround Sound
MartinLogan Encore TF Center Channel
Energy Connoisseur C-2 Front Speakers
Energy XL-S8 Subwoofer
Samsung 40 inch (the 650) 1080P

Attached to the receiver I have:

Momitsu Region Free Blu-Ray Player (The first one they made with the blue back light on the player)
Time Warner Cable Box
Xbox 360

My friend was being an ass and copied me and got basically the exact same set up just with no sub and the step up from my Energy front speakers, but same center speaker and receiver. I have HDMI running from my Blu-Ray player and my Cable Box to the Receiver and Xbox 360 with Component and the Receiver having one HDMI cable to go to my TV.

I get HD audio just fine, and my friend doesn't. Both of us however have complained of having to go to around -15 to get some breathtaking sound. He hooked a coaxial cable to the receiver from his Blu-Ray player and he didn't have to crank it at all, but of course you can't get HD audio through that. I'm going to test the coaxial cable to see if it sounds better, but I want to hear what you guys think.

Should I leave video and audio running through HDMI to get my DTS-HD and Dolby True or should I hook the coaxial cable in? Whichever sounds louder and clearer is the one I'm lookin' for. Please let me know asap, I really want to have my set up just done. It's exhausting haha.
