Default New TV, 40" LED or LCD?

I am currently looking at replacing my Dynex 42" 1080p with something better built and higher quality. I have been eye-balling 2 standard LCD TV's for my size/price range:

Sony EX500
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+B...&skuId=9761226

Samsung C630
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+...&skuId=9791235

But I am also wondering if I should just go a notch higher and get the LED lit sets. The new Sharp Quattrons are out, and they have the 40" LED on sale for $1100. I like how thin the sets are and how nice the picture is, but is it worth the price premium over LCD?

It depends on the person but I would say if you have looked at them and really liked them then you will always wonder. Might as well get the LED if you can afford it and really like it.

Plus its really hard to tell a picture difference at the store, when they simply have some BB ads running on them. If it was between the Samsung/Sony LCD, I am leaning towards the 630C. The reviews seem solid. But the Quattron is intriguing, but with it being rather new there arent many reviews available or personal experiences.

Good point, I really don't buy a tv unless there are plenty of reviews. The Samsung is a solid choice I must say.

I think Im going to forgo LED, seeing how I read some people talking about bleeding and such. Its a bedroom setup, used for gaming, bluray, cable. So I think the Sammy 630C will suffice.

Anyone have good experience with it?

The 40C630 is such a great TV! I am so glad with my purchase. I cannot fully enjoy it was our AC in our house is out, so I try to stay out of my room as much as possible, lol
