Default Horror/Thriller Preliminary Poll!!!! Vote "7" Films Only!!

Ok the first of the 9 preliminary polls will be the horror/thriller genre! I chose films based on popularity of the website and also looked at a few old threads to see what people had ranked the highest. So here we go. Again I couldnt list all films but this is better than just choosing the top 7. Atleast more films get a shot at making the tourney. I am gonna do a top 40 or so for each genre. Choose on 7 movies as only 7 will advance. I am gonna have this poll go for a few days and I will make all of the polls over the next few days so the voting can take place. Remember vote for the 7 u want to see make the tourney. base it on how u feel. Remember its not best or fav poll, its overall and all up to u! Have fun guys! Let the games begin......Got Em!!

First vote!

Didn't see too many movies on this list, so I went with the ones I did see. Thankfully, they are all movies I like, and one of them (Jaws) is in my top 10.

Go Shark Go!

Lord, that's hard, because a lot of those films just don't go together! How do you compare Hitchcock's Rear Window with Nightmare On Elm St? Or Frankenstein with Silence Of The Lambs?

OK, OK, I picked out 7 favorites. HOWEVER, let it be known that that's a vote for the 1962 Cape Fear, not the crappy remake with De Niro. (Sorry Bob!)

Good list, even though the film I consider to be one of the best true thrillers (Tell No One) isn't on the list, and even though I accidentally did not select The Shining and Rear Window. Definitely would have if I paid closer attention.

I didn't even realize the /Thriller part of the thread title. I voted the best horrors. I would have voted for Rear Window in a heartbeat. As for the Horror genre, I think The Exorcist is the epitome of horror. I've never seen a movie so terrifying.

Tell No One is a great film. As far as thrillers go, it's definitely towards the top of my list.

I applaud the effort to get this concept of yours off the ground. I like having a wide variety of movies to choose from, and obviously you've done well since every movie listed has at least one vote. I would've liked to have seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) on the list, but beggars can't be choosers.

What I noticed in your initial bracket of 64 in the other thread, is that you only include one animated film - Up. I would suggest either using animated as its own category, or adding more animated films to the polls for each category.

Great job though!
