Just received notification from Amazon.co.uk that my uk Monsters vs Aliens Blu-ray has shipped on 20th Oct - wow a week early!

Most likely due to the strikes if it was shipped by amazon. They all are shipping the items more earlier just to prevent the strikes upholding the order from getting to your door step on time.

Postal Strikes are affecting everyone at the moment and pre-orders are likely to be affected if they dont post early. Otherwise everyone will be buying in-store rather than from online retailers. If further strikes hit during christmas then a lot of pre-orders on big releases will be affected as no one will want to wait! Either order special delivery or buy your big must haves in stores this Christmas I suggest!

Yeah I guess, got my copy of Monsters vs Aliens this morning so really happy!

According to their website, the only Amazon deliveries that will be affected by the Royal Mail strike are the super saver deliveries anyway. Looks like they have found alternatives to everything else.
