United Kingdom Pan (3D/2D)

This is out Monday. Another one of my favourites from 2015. A real eye opener with stunning production design and visual FX and an arresting performance from Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard. Obviously a huge flop which is a shame. Can't wait to check out the 3D at home.

You are in for a real treat. PAN is highly underrated in my opinion.....not perfect, mind.
But the 3-D is well done and lots of fun.

that edition does not include the 3D version by the way

question, does the UK edition include the Dolby Atmos mix?

No straight 2D. I'm no on board with 3D.

Hope you enjoy Lev, post your views after watching it

I've already seen the movie in 2D and I loved it. Made my no. 3 spot for last year! Im a big Peter Pan fan and I love the 2003 movie so that probably helps.

Really not fussed with 3D or I'd have it. I love fun fantasy films, a Sunday afternoon movie. For £7 including delivery, I can't go wrong.

I bought it along with another movie, under the import limit and basically split the cost in half, rather then the more real 60:40. Works for me it actually came out at £15.46 delivered for two movies, so £7.73 if you're looking deep into my purchases.
Still half the uk price

Never just buy one from Amazon, always worth finding a $4-$10 movie to add, makes it a much better deal and a lot of the cheap priced catalogue titles aren't even released in the UK.

Hi there,

So it's Amazon then? Heard a few people talking about WOWHD or some other site, they are supposed to be cheap as chips.

I'm just lazy and usually wait for the sub $21.99 prices on Amazon to avoid the import duties.

WowHD are good, free shipping. They're good for older titles more than preorders price wise. I bought Get Hard just before Christmas for £5.66 delivered. Just used them for My Science Project and My Boyfriends Back £5.66 each.

I'm finding on Amazon some titles drop to $10 a couple of weeks or a month after release (not all) and these are sometimes still long before UK date. If you like your movies and older releases its worth using the deals tab, USA flag and flick around newest deals or lowest prices. My next combo will be American Ultra $10 and Fletch $5, should total $22 with shipping, again about £15 delivered. Makes this importing a much better deal and you're getting the six month drop to £6.99/£7.99 straight away.

Great advice, it's worth looking around for a cheaper catalogue title as you say.

Wow what a spectacular 3D experience this is. In fact it's so good i may have to place it as my favourite 3D movie from 2015. The conversion is absolutely stunning and director Joe Wright has clearly shot with 3D in mind from the offset. The depth is strong throughout, and the layers are amazing. There are loads of pop outs with every single action sequence showcasing a handful of out of the screen FX.

The movie is very CG heavy and i guess this has really allowed the converison team to push the 3D using presumably native 3d CG elements.

Just look at the scenes on Blackbeard's ship in the mines, the background and ground is way back in the distance compared to the foreground elements. Particles shoot through the frame from out of the screen to way, way back when the fairies are on screen and the flying scenes are terrific, whether it be flying ships or Peter Pan himself flying.

I already loved the movie, being a big sucker for Peter Pan in general but the 3D really pushes it over the edge to being one of the best visual 3D experiences of 2015. If anyone was on the fence about this movie i HIGHLY recommend it. Not only does it have a terrific sense of fun and adventure with some spirited performances (Jackman and Hedlund are great) but the visual FX and 3D make it a real ride from start to finish.
