My Sony BDP-N460 doesn't Play DVD-Rs

My Sony BDP-N460 is not playing DVD-Rs, has anyone had the same problem with this? is there maybe a setting that needs to be changed? help please!

Has the disc been finalised??? Some players will not play writable/re-writable discs unless they have been finalised once creating them is completed.

According to the specs it is suppose to play DVD-r's. Try a different brand of blank media to record family videos or TV shows from a DVD recorder. Many times there are compatibility problems between discs and players. If you try several other brands of DVD-R's that play on other players and the DVD-r still does not play on the Blu-ray player, then your Blu-ray player might need a firmware update or service. But most likely the problem is just a incompatibility with that brand or model of media you are using, a simple switch to a different brand or model of disc should solve the problem.
