Default Sabotage's Home Theater.

Finally uploaded the pictures of my parents set-up and the set-up of my own. Feel free to comment and any feedback is much appreciated.

Please note I'm only 17 so yes the set-up in the red room is a little small.

Nice job. I can't believe the homeowners association can possibly ban surround sound. You own the inside of the dwelling, so they can't tell you what you can have inside the townhouse. Get that changed right away. Good luck and again, nice set-up.

That's ridiculous. How would they even know? If you don't turn it up loud, then it shouldn't matter. Do you get searches by the speaker gestapo?

Sounds like you are from a little town in Oklahoma (same on that the movie "Footloose" was based on).

I totally agree....next thing they'll try to do is tell you when to go to bed because your lights in your house distract those trying to sleep across the way......unbelieveable!

My dad talked with hte neighbours yesterday and asked if they minded if we put in surround sound. They had no objections. He's probably not going to seek the approval of the council however .

There is the WAF (Wife Approval Factor)
There is now the NAF (Neighbor Approval Factor)

But there should never be a AAF (Association Approval Factor)!!

The amount they take in monthly fees alone is outrageous....then to tell you what you can't do IN yuor own home borders on tyranny!

I'm thinking a major revolution is in order I believe their rules are unconstitutional and should be abolished at all cost.....My fellow audiophiles.........Man your subwoofers
