Default Settings for Panasonic TC-P50X1

Just got this TV today. Can anyone recommend some settings for it? Color temp, color, sharpness, etc. Vivid or normal? Any advice on how to break it in or avoid burn in?

Check the avs forums. They will tell you everything and also make you paranoid as hell about your tv in the process

I'd suggest checking out TweakTV. They often update the site and have some very good tweaks... could be a good starting point for you.

Thumbs up Break in

Turn the contrast down to about half way ( 50% ) for the first 100 hours of viewing. Also, stay away from programs with black bars on the sides or top & bottom for the same period of time. After break in, you will want to calibrate your TV for your home. Don't use someone else's settings, as the settings for another person's home may NOT work for YOUR home. The best thing is to get a professional to calibrate it. If you can't afford one, then get a calibration disc ( either DVD or Blu-ray ) and do it yourself. You can usually find one at a local retailer, or go to http://www.amazon.com and purchase one there. They usually run around $15, are incredibly easy to use and do a fantastic job. This way your HDTV will be perfectly set up for YOUR home.

Its not worth time or effort to have an ISF calibration on the lower end Panny plasmas, they do not offer enough service menu controls to make worthy adjustments...unless the newer X1 has changed that...but I doubt it.
