Default What is up with LCD's and LED's having panel issues?

This is very frustrating to me. I know this has been talked about alot but I just recently bought a Sony Bravia EX500/40 inch. I bring it home and instantly notice cloudiness and flashlighting. I kept it for two weeks and returned it because I couldn't stand it anymore. I went with a Sharp Quattron 40 inch (LC-40LE810UN). Very nice set by the way. For my money it was much nicer than the Sony Bravia. Anyway there was faint clouding that has all but gone away but however there is some flashlighting in the center of the top of the frame. It's minor and it only shows up in bright scenes not dark ones. I think it's light leaks from the LED light panel but I can't really tell. Anyway it's really not that bad. Its only noticable on certain types of material. I'm just sick of spending $900 on a set and getting questionable product. I like the Sharp so I am gonna just live with it. I hope it doesn't get worse. If anyone has had this issue with and LED please let me know so that I am not paranoid that it will break on me. I read somewhere about Sharps having an issue in the middle where the panels connect but I don't think that's it. I would imagine if it was i would notice it on everything. I have a warranty and a service plan from Ultimate Electronics so I guess if it becomes a problem down the road I can have it replaced or fixed. I just hate the uncertanty of it all. Plus my store didn't have anymore of this model so I can't even exchange it at the moment. Sorry for the rant just looking for alternate points of view on the subject. Oh and I'm not interested in Plasma's because of a bad experience I had with one of them before plus I'm not a fan of image retention, it bugs me.
