Highlander (UK) - Post your thoughts on the AQ here

I'm waiting for my copy of Highlander (Immortal edition).

However, I've heard a mixed bag of the DTS 5.1 audio being that it sounds "reverby", and less than stout for the fidelity of the music.

Is it really that bad?

I know the VQ is superb, so not much to say there.

It's a classic case of a 2$ quick job. I always watch it in 2ch with ProLogic IIx. The film mix is reverby by nature (the music mostly) so what they did only amplyfied it. I have the 'soundtrack' on Vinyl Record and it have a lot of reverb..

Picture Quality on the Australian Release was Crap. I traded it. Very Grainy almost unwatchable. Only Blu-Ray I've ever got rid of for picture quality. But maube other regions have a better pressing.

No idea what bootleg you bought, I have the aussie release and it looks great. Like Sky_Captain said, same transfer as the UK.

The only one I can see having a different print, might be a future US release, as it would probably be the 'US Directors Cut' as opposed to the European Directors Cut' which is the only version on BD so far.
