Default Graphs and waterfall

I have seen graphs and waterfall generated by computer and posted. They look great. I will be getting the Antimode 8033 and would like to generate the graphs. Any idea what is needed like laptop specs, sound card etc. Thanks

Here is one example of waterfall :

The laptop doesn't really matter. Just as long as it isn't noisy. Most sound cards will work. The question really comes down to if you plan to do full range measurements. If you are only worried about the low end, you can get away with a Galaxy CM-140. If you plan to go full ranger you'll need a mic preamp with phantom power and a calibrated microphone, which will cost a lot more. If you do go that route you're better off getting a USB sound card with the preamp/power. It'll save you a lot of trouble.

Nice Blurayas, I'd love to do this too but both my laptop and netbook don't have the right sound cards. I'd have to go the external route as well and just haven't taken time to figure it all out.

Please post your progress

The Tascam US-122L is the cheapest of the solutions. There are also ones from m-audio that'll work. There are a few software options, I've used an older one for a while now, but I've been playing around with a free application that has a lot of the same functionality. Here is the link. I started playing around with it because it allows me to pass filters to the BFD, which my older app does not.

TK I have been playing with the REW program, got the Antimode 8033 and an external USB sound card. Today I was able to generate a graph ( dont ask me what they mean), fun fooling around with the toys. I have to read more about it. Lot of info on the hometheatershack site. But here is my progress: This is just for the subs.

Your low end reverb seems a bit harsh. A couple things, you should expand the window on the waterfall to 600ms. Did you calibrate your sound card? What mic are you using and did you have it calibrated? You should use the (mouse scroll wheel) and (right click+drag) to enlarge and center the graphs to make them easier to read. I'll assume the red measurement is the one behind the couch?
