Default Can anyone reccomend me a new sub?

I'm considering replacing one of my subs. I have an Onkyo sub that came with my speaker package which I intend to keep.

Second, I have a Sony SA-W3000 that may be one its way out. I think it may be damaged (but that's another story).

The Sony sub 'claims' to put out 180watts, and I believe it's a 12 inch speaker.

At this point, I would honestly like to steer away from Sony subs.

I am looking to spend around $200. This is a big room, and I am thinking I would like something that is 10-12 inches in speaker size, and will provide deep bass. An adjustable crossover is a must. Also, a new sub MUST HAVE and output to chain another sub or else I won't be able to run my other Onkyo sub. Finally, I would prefer something black in color.

I've looked around, and don't much about other manufacturers.

Would any of you say the above Sony sub is not truly rated at 180w? I ask because I've seen some other subs (Polk or Klipsch for example) that are rated lower but more money.

Thanks in advance for any replies--it's much appreciated.

EDIT: Would there also be any complications in simply using a splitter for my sub output on my receiver (since I only have one output)? This way I would not be limited in having to get a new sub that has and output for another sub.
