Evangelion 1.11 at Best Buy Now YMMV

Just a heads up for all the otaku out there. I picked up Evangelion 1.11 at Best Buy tonight. I was able to get them to price match Walmart.com and snagged it for $19.86. This isn't supposed to be released until next Tuesday. I also saw Ninja on the shelf which is out early. this is def YMMV but if you're at Best Buy you may want to keep an eye out.

I saw a copy of the DVD version at the BB near me today, but didn't see the Blu-ray. Guess you were lucky.

now that would be a hot deal.

Still $19.86 ain't bad for a movie that isn't supposed to be released yet. and we all know anime rarely go on sale. Heck, Akira only dipped to $25 for about 30 minutes on Black Friday on Amazon. So get it while the gittin's good.

Can you tell me if the BD is in an amaray? or slipcover? The picture from Amazon makes it looks like a digibookish kinda thing.

it is a slipcase with folder, on one side is a pocket with a booklet and the other side has a plastic holder for the Blu-ray. if you're familiar with Criterion's Third Man release it is similar to that.

I went in there on Friday and they had the blu-ray copy. I went to the front counter and asked if I could price match with Walmart's website and they said ok. They found it wasn't suppose to be out till the 9th and told me they couldn't sell it to me. I told them that a lot of BBs were doing it. They said that's not good. They weren't rude about it but I still think they should have sold it because it's their fault. I didn't argue though. I can wait to get it.
