Default which HDMI cable to get?

I'm needing to buy a few HDMI cables and am wondering which one to get. Is there a difference between a cheap cable off eBay or Amazon, like one of the ones you can get for $3 shipped, and one that I'd get from Bestbuy or even Monoprice?

I always buy my cables from
monoprice, not only because of the great prices but because they have been reliable and if you do have any problems, they will replace for free.

I've heard of good cables from amazon, but because they also sell from third party, sometimes you don't really know what you might get?

I buy all my cables from http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp or http://www.firefold.com.

I have a $6 monoprice cable from the AVR to the HDTV and $3 ones from components to the AVR. Just worked out that way. I have quite a few blus that I got for the cost of an HDMI cable in a package that you cannot open, if you get my drift.

BTW, nice to see you on here again crackinhedz. I haven't seen you post in a while.

All mine are monoprice cables, work great. That firefold site looks like they sell quality stuff as well.

I've gotten HDMI from monoprice, and some of the ones they run for 1 cent on Amazon from time to time. I use the monoprice for longer or in wall runs, but the 1 cent ones from Amazon work just fine for short simple connections.
