Another batch of films from Alliance! 3 more are coming on February 10th. All 3 films have an OAR of 1.85:1, so we can expect 1.78:1 presentations, with the usual DTS-HD MA & lack of subs...

I'm really glad to see Swingers getting a Blu-ray release. It's a great film, and I cannot wait to add it to my Blu-ray library.

Made wasn't very good.

Swingers, however, is a personal classic. So many quotables. Could totally relate to Mikey's plight. I heard this is coming to the US, though. If it doesn't, I'll definitely import.

I will get Made because minor catalog titles rarely get a proper U.S. release. Swingers is a popular film though and I will wait for the inevitable Disney Blu-ray.

Are there any Alliance titles coming out in January 2010? I see threads for December 2009 and this one for February 2010, but no January ones.

We've got Boogie Nights coming on the same day as Magnolia (Jan. 19th, but will be the same as the US Best Buy disc). Aslo the Halloween Triple Feature on Jan. 12th which should contain H20 & Resurrection as well as either Zombie's remake or the one that came out before H20... details aren't clear yet.

Hmm looks like Pulse is coming January 5th too, at least according to Amazon.ca. I know that one got panned, but I thought it was interesting and really like Kristen Bell. Glad Weinstein's old HD-DVD exclusives are coming out through Alliance since Weinstein themselves obviously have no intentions.

Ah right, I forgot about Pulse. Too bad the no extras are on these blus, always hate seeing that. Weinstein Company just plain sucks at the moment.

I'm down for Just Friends if the transfer is indeed 1080p. It sucks that the Alliance BD won't include the plethora of extras the US New Line DVD had; but after watching the movie recently, the PQ on the DVD isn't that great (especially unconverted on my PS3 and Sharp Aquos set).

This wave should see the light of day (unlike the Dec. 29th releases that didn't show up). Swingers is advertised in the Best Buy flyer for 16.99, 14.99 pre-order right now @ amazon.ca though.

Saw the case for Swingers at Rogers Video today, stated the following: 1080p, 1.85:1, DTS-HD MA, no subtitles or extras included. These specs have yet to be confirmed with the disc itself.

Swingers is cheapest at HMV, only $15.00. No HMV stores across Canada seem to have either Made or Just Friends in-stock for tomorrow.

Ya, I noticed Made isn't in any of the stores, my friend really wants that. I have yet to see it. Swingers seems to be in though.

I found Made at Starstruck Entertainment today in Square One Mall, the back says it is 1080i, but DTS-HD MA 5.1 Audio. My friend told me to pick it up for him. He says he doesn't mind 1080i since he has been looking for it on dvd for about 3 years. Alliance has been known to misprint labels on the backs of their blus though, so who knows it might just be 1080p, gonna wait til tonight to check it out. I have yet to see the movie, looking forward to it, even though I'm not much of a Vince Vaughn fan lately, he was funnier back then.
