One of the most comfy and cozy set-ups I have seen; a true home theater.

Hello avncars.

I saw your gallery yesterday and I left a comment and rating. I believe that I suggested that you start a thread in this section. Well whether or not that was the motivator doesn't matter. What does matter is that you establish a thread. As I said in the gallery section, your room is breath-taking and your equipment selection is outstanding. Marantz, B&K, JA Audio and Paradigm Studio series, an excellent ensemble!
Your room is just beautiful. Are the walls acoustically treated? If not, are you planning on adding treatments in the future?
Congrats on a marvelous Home Theater. By the way, the Marantz projector is top shelf! It's 720P image is probably as strong as the lesser priced 1080P projectors.

My thoughts exactly! Was any of it original, or did you do all of this for the theater???? Do you have "Before" pictures?

Very nicely done...... You (and your dad) must be talented.

Edit: Nevermind.... just checked the "Build in progress" folder.... all new! Amazing level of detail you put into the room...... Bravo!

ldgibson76 i thank you very much for telling me about this and showing me how to get here. took me a while to figure out out to insert the pics...how come when you go into some peoples the pics are right there and nice and big, and mine are little icons you have to click on? no, the walls are treated yet. i want to but havent figured it out yet. and yes, the Marantz projector looks great, but im in the process right now on picking out a 1080, im gonna go with the panosonic ae4000 or the epson8500, bigdaddy pointed me in the right direction with that one...im sure i'll have a 1080 hanging off the ceiling within another 2 weeks or so! thank you all for the compliments and all the great ideas from all the posts!

Beautiful theater. You and your Dad did an excellent job. I'm curious as to how the SPL meter calibration effected your surround speaker problem.

I just saw the other post. Glad it worked out for you.

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

If you quote this post you can examine how I did it

thank you. i have a total of 3 buttkickers for the time being, there is 1 for each recliner in the front row. i love them, they made the entire movie watching expierence that much better. just the 3 with amp, rubber isolators and quick connect box were sort of pricey, so im going to have to wait a little while to do the back. i wish i didnt have to get another amp, but the one amp will only take care of 4, so that means i can add one more to this amp and need another for the remaining two transducers...

I agree, these are pricey, but I too think they are worth it. They really expand the movie experience....fun to mess with the kids and friends when they are over too!
