Kiefer Sutherland will finally bring Jack Bauer to the big screen with the long-anticipated 24 movie gearing up for production.

Deadline says Fox's 24 feature film begins shooting in the spring once Sutherland becomes available after wrapping his work on the TV series Touch.

The site claims screenwriter Mark Bomback "will turn in the latest script draft by year's end. Imagine and the studio have about five directors in mind–no, Tony Scott is not attached anymore–and it will all begin happening very quickly in the early part of next year. The goal is to get the film into production to match Sutherland's availability, which begins in April."

Oscar winner Brian Grazer will produce.
