how long will it take to get stepped up catalog releases?

Ok,

I am about to order Robocop on blu, and can pick up part 2 and 3 real cheap on DVD. How long until studios start getting into the deeper part of their catalogs.

For example, I love Friday the 13th series and they stopped releasing them on blu and from what I hear, they are not releasing the rest anytime soon due to poor sales.

Same for the Bonds and other series like Lethal Weapon.

I am a completist on series and wonder if I should wait on some dvd purchases like this or bite because it could be years before they get released.
