With Disney cutting their film slate and basically letting Marvel run the show now, I was not surprised to read this news.

I'm guessing that Bruckheimer will likely land at Sony (since Bruckheimer is producing a 2015 release for them along with the recent news of TriStar returning to film production).

I'm probably one of the few, but I'm still waiting on National Treasure 3.

Disney no longer holds the rights so anyone can do it. I'm surprised that Millennium hasn't considered making it.

Guess the Lone Ranger flop hit harder than they're letting on...
I don't really think it'll change that much over at Disney though. They will still collaborate from time to time according to the article, like the fifth Pirates film for example.
If this means Bruckheimer can focus on producing kick-ass films in the same vein as The Rock and Black Hawk Down, then I'm all for this!

And Prince of Persia.

It takes this long for heads to OFFICIALLY roll after the Lone Ranger, but the deal officially takes effect after Pirates 5 wraps up.
So we can truthfully say, if it didn't end with 4, it'll end with 5.
