Samsung LN32B550 32" LCD TV

Only one merchant is under $600 for this TV though.

I believe the 550 is a newer model. The only difference in the specs that I noticed was a slight increase in contrast 70k:1 vs. 60K:1.

I got mine for $497 on Black Friday so if you can get anywhere near that price I would consider it a good deal.

I just bought the LN32B540 from Sams for $398. They had the the 540 720p and the 530 1080p on display next to each other. The 1080p appeared to have the better picture. But on checking the model numbers on the TV's they had the two models mixed up. The 720p had the best picture! I checked the settings on the two and they were both the same but the 720p definitely had the best and brightest pic.

the 32B640 is an awesome set, it goes on sale at Best Buy often, or you can find it online for around $600. I have the 32A650 and I love that thing, the B640 has even better black levels than my A650 so you will be happy with it for sure.
