Default Its on its way.....

So I have had a pioneer VSX-d814 6.1 receiver for about 5 or 6 years now, and have recently caught the upgraditis bug. So I started with swapping out my Polk Audio RM675 speaker package for Infinity Primus 362 towers up front, then picked up the PC350 center channel speaker, and finally sold my 8" polk sub and got the Klipsch KSW-10 downfiring sub. My wife has been very understanding, until I started looking at receivers....I started off wanting the HK AVR1600, but after reading up I learned of some HDMI audio/video drop off and lag issues all around, I was always happy with the pioneer's sound, so I decided to go with the VSX-1019, then I was able to shmooz my wife into the Pioneer Elite VSX-21THX!!! Ordered it today and I can't wait, especially for the iphone interface with onscreen remote navigation!!! Overall with just the speaker upgrades I am very happy, can't wait to here how the Elite impact the sound of these great speakers!!!

Congrats, I think you will be very happy with the 21, and nice upgrades you have done so far. I have looked into Infinity myself of late....you have done as nice job.

Sweet. I dunno how you guys with wives can put together any decent system. If I had a wife, no chance I would have the system I do. Anyway, congrats on the Elite!

Looks like the upgrade bug bit you hard....

Congrats and I know you will enjoy until the next nibble comes along.

Are you using the RM6750 as surrounds in a 5.1 or a 7.1?

Ya, I am still using the polk satellites as my 2 rear speakers, they do a good job and look nice, Im running 5.1. The speakerstands in the back of the living room is my comprimise, so no chance at 7.1, she is not a big fan of speakers everywhere. She promised me that the next house we buy will have a designated home theater/video game room, as long as I dont put us in the poor house. As for being able to do all this with the wife going along.....its been rough, and I have to kiss a lot of A**, buying flowers, letting her buy pointless overpriced purses etc. Its called compromise
