Default Oppo BDP-83 Lipsync Issue

I bought mine around Mid December 2009
althought I am very satisfied with the player,
this lipsync issues has been bothering me from day one.

It is very hard to explain since how much the audio goes out of sync
varies every time. And sometimes turning it off an on helps but the
problem doesn't go away.

I have tried
-Analog stereo output to AMP
-Analog stereo output straight to Active speakers
-HDMI straight to TV

I notice audio sync problem on all these setups

Please help me if you have any suggestions.
Should I send it to Oppo for repair/replacemnt ?
Would I see any improvement by installing latest firmware?
Please help

-J

I haven't had any issues with my Oppo. What are you using for speakers or are you just using your tv? First I would no doubt get the latest firmware update.

I have the same problem once in a while. It's usually if I hit pause on a BD. When I hit play again I have a delay with the audio. I found the way to fix it is to go to the previous chapter or the next. This is annoying when it happens...

Hmm, haven't had this issue, even when using pause.

Now broadcast TV on the other hand...

I ask that because I never had that issue, but if it was a specific movie I would get back to you!
