Has there been any news as to when they will release Spirited Away on bluray? I've been waiting for this to be released for years now, pretty much since I started collecting blurays about 3 or 4 years ago (my freshman year in college), and tbh I'm a little annoyed they haven't put it out yet, given that, far as I can tell, its the only Miyazaki film they've yet to put out on bluray.
I know it was supposed to come out in Japan last year, so I'd expect sometime this year, but I'm really wondering why the hell they put it off till dead last? Even Porco Rosso, probably his least well known and most obscure filmother than The Castle of Cagliostro) has already been released. Unless they think making everyone wait will somehow increase its sales, why on earth would they make whats probably his most well known film be dead last for a bluray release? |
