I truly don't care what he does with his social life or how he handles himself, but I do care about the music he writes and performs. To that end, I think he's an amazingly talented writer and a kick-ass guitarist to boot.

The thing I don't get is - here is a guy sitting on top of the world. All he has to do is not put his foot in his mouth or say anything overtly stupid with a big media interviewer. Hard to believe he didn't know what the consequences would be for saying the stuff he did. The same goes for John Edwards, and the rest of the cast of thousands. Maybe people just get bored with being pampered and too comfortable.

1. It's most likely a joke.

2. It's not really that racist, if someone isn't attractive to you, they're not attractive to you. Nothing's gonna change that.

I don't quite get GLAAD's outrage because getting drunk and realizing you want nothing more than to kiss a man pretty much proves John Mayer is secretly gay. And just in case that's not proof enough, I don't know how else you interpret this excerpt:

I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but when I'm having sex with a woman the last thing I'm thinking about is other men's anuses. I typically reserve that time for making up an excuse for why it only took a minute. "It's my birthday!"

I just listen to him for his music. I could care less about all of his comments on anything but music. He seems like a funny guy but this is too much.
