Default Should I pick up an Emotiva? Help decide which.

I'm about to pick up an Elite VSX-01TXH which is obviously a huge step up from my current STR-DH700. I'm big into car audio so I'm pretty big on more POWER!!! I know an amped set up is going to be better then not anyday. Considering the jump from the DH700 to the quality and power the 01txh will have, how much better is that going to be if I were to add an emotiva to the mix?

The reason I ask is because I'm on a budget here. I've got about 800 to spend. Between the new AVR, TV Stand, and a few movies I've got about $300 left. The plan was to pick up an AspireRevo to run a HTPC, although the PS3 can essentially do that so I'm wondering if an amp would be a better purchase.

The problem however is that I'm only left with $300, which means if I want something now it would be the UPA-2. This leaves out the center and I'm not really thinking it's worth it.

Am I really going to gain that much with an amp over the 01TXH? Should I save up and hold out for an amp or just go ahead with an HTPC setup?

In order to best match my current speakers I think the UPA-5 would be my best choice.

UPA-5 = 125x5 @ 8ohms
01TXH = 110x7 @ 8ohms

How much cleaner is the emotiva then the pio? Real world numbers, what are each of these REALLY pushing?
