This has to be a mistake.

This would be way too big a release to slip this far under the radar.

I'd love it to be true though, it's a fantastic film.

I would not be surprised if this is coming next week given how MGM/fox has handled previous classics ( best buy exclusives)

I pre-ordered it just in case. Man, I'm going to lay down $200 just in blus and dvds alone this week.

Yeah, I ordered it too. I figure worst case I'll wind up getting free shipping on the Dude Abides coffee mug/mouse pad I ordered with it to fill out super saving shipping.

Yeah very odd, but then again I wouldn't be surprised with the release either.

I did a pre-order thru Prime for 2 Day Shipping. I would expect it to start shipping Monday at the latest. (If in fact they have stock. w/ Prime)

I've been waiting for this one. Very weird that it pops up this close to release.

I've been waiting for it too. Although, I've bought each of the DVD re-releases, so I think I'm going to wait and see how the reviews are for this first, considering what short notice it is.

Omg. Now this is such a surprise really!
I hope:

a) this is true
b) they didn't screw up the transfer

It's such a fantastic film. It's great to see another Wilder film on Blu-ray. I mean his films are all more than worthy for an HD-Treatment. IMO Some Like It Hot looked fantastic on Blu. I hope we'll get Double Indemnity, Sunset Boulevard, Witness for the Prosecution and One, Two, Three as well.

Been going through Mad Men seasons recently, and I was thinking of picking this movie up on DVD!, of all things, because I was jonesin' for some '60's Madison Ave action. Even went to my local library to see if they had their copy in and it was checked out.

Glad I didn't get the DVD. Pre-ordered.

The best, THE BEST thing about this though...Double Indemnity and/or Sunset Boulevard are just around the corner. One of those has got's to get a digibook or something, Wilder needs higher-profile releases than this.

I wouldn't be so sure that Double Indemnity and/or Sunset Blvd. are next. Those are both Paramount releases, not MGM, and Paramount hasn't been exactly known for their high volume of putting out catalog titles on blu.

I think next year is Paramount's 50th anniversary.

That might blast some high profile catalog titles loose.

Next year is Paramounts 100th. Double Indemnity is owned now by Universal who bought the Paramount catalog pre-1950 quite some time ago.
