The sound is pretty good! I need to find a means of preventing certain doors and items around this room from rattling so much. I see that you also have the awesome Energy sub that I have and as you know, the thing can shake the whole house!

The speaker set was fairly cheap ($250) but sounds as good as higher end speakers that I've seen in other setups. My receiver is kinda old but still pumps enough power to the speakers. I wouldn't mind having HD decoding!

Your room looks great Xourque. I really like that big comfy sectional you have in there.

Nice job, and I like the speakers, but I have to ask....do the speakers sound better with 2 channel music or for HT use. By the looks of them, I would think they are a more musicial sounding speaker than for HT.

Whenever I listen to music, I definitely have the receiver set to stereo if whatever I am watching has a stereo mix. I also use my Blu-ray player to connect to a shared MP3 folder on my computer. The sound that I get from those two front speakers plus the subwoofer is amazing and I have no complaints.

For surround mixes, I find it to be very effective. The only thing I want to do is separate them a little more to open up the sound floor, however there's a door to the left of the left speaker so if I'm somewhat limited...

Thanks everyone!!

Excellent Xourque! I bought a new UN55B7100 like yours about a week ago. I think it's fantastic! I get a little bit of "flashlighting" on solid-black scenes, but nothing even close to severe. I like your setup. I have a Samsung Blu-ray BD-P2550 that I'm thinking of replacing with a newer model that has built-in Wi-Fi. What are your opinions of the BD-P3600? I like the idea that you can listen to music via a shared MP3 folder. Does the player connect wirelessly to your computer through your router, or what? Currently, I run a cable from my computer (via Audio Out on the sound card) to my receiver (Denon something-or-other, I'll have to check the model number) and listen to MP3s (or WMAs or anything else) that way.

But, back to the UN55B7100... have you looked at Samsung's slim wall mounts (or other companies that offer similar mounts)? This is a huge TV, though relatively not very heavy, and I'm thinking about mounting it on the wall.

Just added a Power Conditioner/Surge Supressor/UPS to my setup. I chose the one from Monoprice.com:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...=2#description

I tried my best to see if I noticed any difference. I'd say that I'm hearing more low frequency sounds out of my surround speakers although I am not entirely convinced it's from the install of this thing. Anyway, I'm happy to have "better" power going to my components!
