Default BlockBuster Video needs to catch up with BD demand!

sucks...blu is really taking off. i have at least 10 BD's in my online queue and every single one of them says i have to wait a while before getting them with most of them saying "Long Wait" or "Very Long Wait". and these include old school titles such as Bullitt and Donnie Brasco and the not so popular Premonition. time to up your inventory B-Buster.

p.s. i was in a nearby BlockBuster last night where i exchanged a mail rental for an in-store rental (rented Stealth on Blu over the sd Hot Fuzz) and i'd say 90% of the BD's were checked out, limiting my viewing options. And Stealth, for the curious, wasn't all that bad. Mindless fun I guess. worthy of a rental.

Wrong thought process!

BLU has not won yet so you need to reconsider your priorities!

sorry have to disagree with the above poster.
Netflix is the way to go, I have yet to wait for any BD I have ever wanted, including 300. opps I bought it on the day of release and forgot to take it out of my list.
I get quick turn around and I watch a lot, plus the selection is far greater. I dont want to punish myself with poor selection or quantities for the greater good in the vain hope they will learn and order more. I really doubt it, how long did it take them to learn to do online?
If I want it that bad maybe I will go see if they have it in one of their stores to rent or I will go pick it up, if I am not that sure then I am all about the Netflix.
you may want to also argue that blockbusters is cheaper but there is one thing I have learned in life when it comes to service, you get what you pay for.

Actually, no need to argue at all. If a Blu title was not immediately available online I have been able to get one at my store exchanging the disc that came in the mail. If you have a participating BB in your area there is absolutely no point arguing.

Most of the most the movies have had a short or long wait but i never found it to be a problem. If i really want to watch a movie then i'll just buy it. I usually rent movies im debating buying in blu-ray. I used to netflix but switched over to BB because for me total access is more convenient, I get lazy and usually dont send movies back in the mail right away so ill just drive to my nearest BB and exchange the ones i have for new ones.

Your logic makes no sense to me, but to each their own.

Instant gratification me thinks. They can have a new movie in hand by taking a short drive. Although it is a little puzzling still.

Ah, I see how you read that. I read the "lazy" part and compared putting the movie in the mail box to driving all the way to the nearest blockbuster; that threw me off.

As others said, go with netflix. I rarely wait. I think the only blu-ray in my queue right now that has a wait is shooter.

That doesn't make sense. How is driving them to the store more convenient than placing them in your mailbox? The whole point of an online rental service is that I don't have to drive to the store.

I get lazy to mail them out most of the times so i usually end up keeping them for week after watching them so instead of mailing them out and waiting a day or two for the next ones so when i do decide to get up my lazy butt its just easier driving to BB and exchanging them which is closer than my post office.Thats the main reason i switched from netflix to bb.

Netflix needs to catch up too. It's very annoying that I have to wait 2-3 weeks to see a movie just because they don't order enough copies in Blu-Ray.

Other than that, Netflix is cool.
