Default HOMETOWN (Anthology Horror New England Style)

Hometown (2011)
Written and Directed by Jay Byrne

Prepare for a gruesome experience into the world of true life horror. Two boys get abducted by a pair of amateur criminals. Trapped with little hope of escape they tell three horrific true stories revolving around their hometown.

From the sick and twisted mind of filmmaker Jay Byrne comes a throwback to the classic anthology films of the 70's. However, this one comes with a twist, each story plays out like a true crime tale.

Featuring independent horror actress Liza Bigliety in three seperate roles akin to what Karen Black achieved in the 1975 TV movie "Trilogy of Terror".

This could happen in your...Hometown.

Hey folks this is Jay Byrne here just letting folks know about the movie I am currently shooting. We are shooting the film with a Sony HXR-MC50U in 1080/60i (60i because that is all the camera can do it has no progressive modes). This is ultra low budget horror but I think the film is coming out quite well so far.

Here's the website:

Here's a 24 minute promo reel that includes the entire first story of the film:

Here's a Kickstarter page we set up to try and raise some funds for the film:

I would love to talk filmmaking with any other aspiring filmmakers on here. We also plan to distribute a blu-ray/dvd combo of the film when it's done (that's still a while away but I figured I'd mention it).

Anyway if you watch the clip feel free to let me know what you think (be kind we are shooting this with barely a budget). Hope to generate a little interest.

I do have a few questions that maybe someone on here might have an answer to:

What are the best output settings for a blu-ray master from Adobe Premiere Pro CS5?

What would I need to provide to a duplication house to have a blu-ray pressed?

Anyway that's all hope to hear from some folks around here. Enjoy.
