now you know what woud rock and i have no idea who released the dvd or anything (if i could get off my lazy ass i would find out, but i dont wanna), but pink floyd live in pompei (or something like that) would be total bliss. or woodstock or monterey pop festival. you could probably get a contact high in blu-ray hi def

I still have "the Song Remains the Same" on VHS, it's about time to retire it.

How is the surround mix on this one? Discreet surround channel sweetness or just some ambience? It's the 'How the West was won DVDa, right?)

^^^I have both the CD and DVD-A versions of How the West Was Won and neither were very impressive in my opinion. The DTS track from the DVD-Video was mixed much better. On the DVD-A Page's guitar drowned out just about everything else. Whereas, the DTS track surround channels were used quite well and the subtlety of the other instruments could be heard easily - you know without straining. Maybe others didn't feel this way but honestly I wasn't happy with the purchase.

Compare it to, say, The Doors LA Woman DVD-A remaster and it's like night and day. Granted, Zeppelin was recorded live here but the audio fidelity and surround work was extremely well done for the Doors' disc.

In any event, I'm very much looking forward to Zeppelin on BD - easily one of my top five favorite bands.

Add me to the list of people buying this title. Funny enough I was listening to LZII last night and thinking about this.

From what I heard, all Warner Blu-rays are region free. (Including my copy of The Island.)

Default Led Zeppelin Blu worth getting?

I check gold box most days and its usually crap, but today there is two things i am considering, one is Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same [Blu-ray] which is a pre order, now i am wondering if to get it or not i thought i read somewhere the sound track wasnt anything special. but i could use the gold box price and 10% and get it for $17.

will the gold box even work on pre-orders????

is this even worth getting??

I have this on SD DVD and I will definitely get this when it comes out on Blu. It's a movie and concert in one. It was filmed at Madison Square Garden in 1976. I was actually looking at the menu right now and its got 26 chapers and it's 2:17 minutes long. The last song with the end credits is Stariway to Heaven. I've never actually watched the whole thing but it does look like it would be a good transfer. The SD DVD on my laptop right now looked pretty good.
Hope this helps.
Mischa.
