Default Subwoofer stopping?

I bought a brand new Paradigm DSP 310 10 inch subwoofer and it rocks....
when it works...

The first time I tried it, I watched The Subway fight scene in The Matrix.
The bass was so deep and loud i could feel it in my ears, I really did.
I also manage to listen some other bombastic tracks like Quantum of Solace and Master And commander.

THe problem is that for no apparent reason my Subwoofer stops working after every 3 hours of work. I havent abused of it and it hadnt make any strange noise like if it was broken of something. I thought I had to reset it, like it had some Secrurity device or something... but it dosent have any reset.
So I re-plugged it, and it worked... for 3 hours...

Ive already called for a replacement but my little finger tells me that the problem resides in my AV Receiver.

Is it possible that my old 2002 Technics AV Receiver dosent allow my Subwoofer to work as long as it should?

Important notice: Ive been told my Subwoofer has its own Amplifier so the Receiver shouldnt matter.
