Default No audio or video going from bd player to projector

I need a little insight to make sure I have everything setup correctly. I just recently purchased an older model Optoma projector with a dvi-d connection. I have no issues watching tv over the projector through my Onkyo 605. But when it's comes to playing a dvd on my Panasonic BD60 bd player I get no signal on the projector.

I have a monoprice hdmi splitter splitting up the outputs to the tv and projector. I have hdmi going from the splitter to a dvi-d adapter in the back of the projector. Is my projector just not compatible with the bd player? I have an older upconvert dvd player I know will work if plugged directly into the pj. I just have yet to try it going through the splitter.

Thanks

first thing to do is bypass the HDMI splitter (for all troubleshooting). If that doesn't fix the problem, make sure that the projector supports the output resolution of the BD60. Not all projectors support a 1080p input signal. Start with 1080p, then try 1080i, 720p, 480p in that order. If it still doesn't work, you may have an HDCP compatibility issue.

EDIT:

just read the specs on your projector, doesn't look like it supports 1080p. Use 1080i or 720p instead

I guess I figured if I was playing a dvd the bd player would at most put out 720p or 1080i and not 1080p. I'll give that a shot, thanks.
