I hope Mill Creek eventually releases seasons 9, 10, and 11 too. I like that they're using much better cover art on seasons 7 and 8 than Columbia TriStar/Sony used on their DVD sets.
For those of you that are buying these Mill Creek Married with Children DVD sets, are you buying the individual season sets or the combo packs? I'm buying the individual season sets because I think the cover art is much better. I used to own all 11 season sets of the Columbia TriStar/Sony Married with Children DVD releases, but sold them all when Mill Creek began rereleasing them. I hated that the Columbia TriStar/Sony releases of seasons 3-11 had that el-cheapo, lame instrumental theme song. Thankfully, the Mill Creek releases have Frank Sinatra's "Love and Marriage" restored on all seasons. Also, the season 4 set from Columbia TriStar/Sony had about 8 episodes that were the cut syndicated episodes. All episodes on the Mill Creek releases are uncut. |

I'm glad Mill Creek is releasing these, though I'm not buying any right now. I'm gong to wait a for more months until the last three seasons are released and buy the boxset they put out (like Roseanne, 3rd Rock). Sure the box is a big hunk of junk, but it saves money in the end.
I love the cover used on season 8, love Peggy's expression. ![]() |

I'd imagine it's comparable to the Paramount release, only with more compression, as each disc has 9 or 10 episodes on it. For example, discs 1 and 2 have 9 episodes and disc 3 has 10 episodes, covering the complete first and second seasons. Paramount gave 4 discs to the complete first and second seasons. Static menus are very basic, with the only options being PLAY ALL and EPISODE SELECTION. 16 DVDs, each in it's own paper sleeve, stacked inside a very thick amaray DVD case. There's a square slot inside that secures the discs. Pretty much the norm for Mill Creek's multi-disc packs. I got mine for around $25, which is comparable to what you'd pay for a standalone season from Paramount. So that price for the entire series, 64 hours and 48 minutes worth according to the DVD case, is a steal. I'm very happy with my purchase. |

I hope Mill Creek announces seasons 9, 10, and 11 soon. I wonder if they'll release all three at the same time or go with 9 and 10 first, and leave 11 for later on? |
