Just saw this post last week, purchased from amazon.ES and just arrived. Surprisingly quick, about 5 days from there to US west coast via DHL.
rambling technical overview to follow: This disc is advertised as region free, and I confirmed via test it's at least clear for A & B. There are no bonus features, though it does have a top menu for selecting chapters and language settings. I'm assuming this is the same video master as the prior Japan disc, and indeed it is a very very soft image... as previously reported, no doubt owing to its video component roots. A weird melange of film grain and what appears to be analog video noise - could be DNR though I'd never seen what a native HiVision signal looked like, so might be just that. Program runtime here is 2:06:21, is 1080p/24 and is on a standard BD-25. However this release does add several audio and subtitle options: dubs for Spanish, German and Italian... these are all DolbyDigital 2.0 streams but the content seems to be mono. The original English stream is DTS HD-MA 2.0 and is at least stereo, which might possibly also be ProLogic, but my ancient receiver refuses to apply such processing to DTS streams so another will need to confirm. This has six optional subtitle: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish - the last which has two modes; full subs or just onscreen text. None of these appeared to be SDH enhanced, and the English appeared to be complete and matching dialog without any obvious errors that I noticed. (subs are not forced and can be fully off, but that must be done in-play) I could not discern from the packaging who the publisher is... amazon and a few other Spain based retailers list this as MPO Ibérica S.L., although I did not spot any such identification on my copy. (not a boot', I hope!) The program also starts directly with the opening crawl; no studio logos nor banners are shown beyond those originally within the actual proper opening credits, nor is there anything added at the end. In any case, this is a good substitute for anyone who missed the Japan set, or was looking for just this disc from that set - indeed at the moment it appears to be the only Blu option in current production. At least for 15 euro this is not a princely sum, and though it will absolutely not be mistaken for a modern HD presentation, much better might be unlikely given the original production methods. Unfortunately the only alt reference I have is the 1993 US laserdisc which was quite atrocious - and this is an easy step up from that, but cannot comment on how this compares to any other more recent releases.
